Discussion Board — General Guidelines
Purpose
The discussion board is a place to show your understanding of the topic, practice scientific communication, and learn from classmates by sharing ideas.
Step 1: Read the Prompt
Carefully read the prompt, case study, video, or reading provided before posting.
Step 2: Create Your Original Post
Your original post must include:

4–6 complete sentences

A direct response to the prompt or question

At least one vocabulary term from the lesson used correctly

Clear explanations written in your own words

A connection to real life, another concept, or prior knowledge
Step 3: Reply to a Classmate
After posting, respond to at least one classmate.
Your reply must:

Be 2–3 complete sentences

Add new thinking (example, clarification, or thoughtful question)

Stay respectful and on-topic

Avoid short responses like “I agree” or “Good job”
Step 4: Quality Expectations
To earn full credit, your post should:
